How Does Faith Really Work?

Feb 12, 2019 | 0 comments

Description

Hebrews 11:1,2 (also 11:6)

“What is faith? It is the confident assurance that what we hope for is going to happen. It is the evidence of things we cannot see. God gave His approval to people in days of old because of their faith.” (from New Living Translation)

Not a presumptuous faith, not name it and claim it type faith, but based on Scripture,  advancing God’s kingdom and an abiding internal Holy Spirit generated passion and conviction, too.  Therefore, put your faith in God’s Word, including the promises. Then, go forward expectant that He will do it.

WARNINGS AGAINST UNBELIEF: HEBREWS 3:12-19; 4:1,2.

EXAMPLES FROM HEBREWS 11, which is called the Hall of Fame of Faith from the Old Testament.

We are to go and do the same in our day as these OT saints did. Look at William Carey in India, the father of Modern Missions, who said “Attempt  great things for God, expect great things from God.”

Hudson Taylor’s “Spiritual Secret” opened up Inland China, by faith. The Cambridge Seven joined him in China.

William Tyndale’s prayer at his death, at hands of King Henry VIII, “Lord,  open the King of England’s eyes.”

God is still doing miracles today. I ask you to join me in praying and believing for new miracles in our day in “Rescuing Our children.”
