 Labor Day, a day when we recognize labor and work, has just passed. What constitutes work in the Bible? How can we raise our children with a good work ethic?Genesis 3:16-19, especially  verse 17 speaks to the topic of labor and work. The Lord works, too. Exodus 20:8-11 with John 5:17.

The cultural mandate was given before the Fall. See Genesis 1:27-30.

Children need to learn early in the home: to work, do chores, be orderly and disciplined; and learn their areas of giftedness and talents.
